CASCA - Camden School's Community Association

CASCA stands for ‘Camden School Community Association’ and is composed of parents/carers and CSG staff. We are a registered charity and, as such, hold open quarterly meetings and appoint a chair and key committee roles. Beyond that, we are a very informal, friendly group who do what we can to raise funds for the school and for the enrichment of our children’s education.

We have 2 main objectives:

1. Provide social/community activities and regular communications to support parents, carers and the extended CSG community.
2. Fundraise within our community to enable the school to continue offering outstanding education and experience to students, despite funding cuts.

We run a variety of annual fundraising and social events, including a hugely popular Jumble Sale, Christmas Tree sale, Quiz Night & Auction, Table Top Sale and SummerFest, amongst others. We also run an affordable bar at many school events, and we are always on the lookout for helpers.

The 2023/24 school year has been very successful in terms of our fundraising events, and we have raised over £40,000 for the continued funding of the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme, Model UN along with other subscription & booster materials for various departments. We have also bought a new trampoline for the PE department and updated the school production rigging.

As a parent/carer of a child at Camden School for Girls, you are automatically a member of CASCA and will receive updates on our work through regular school communication channels, such as Friday News and ParentMail. We would love you to get involved by volunteering to help run a bar one evening or a stall at the Jumble Sale or Summerfest. It’s a lot of fun and a great way to get to know the school and other parents.

You can do as much or as little as you are able! We hold open meetings every term to which everyone is invited, and we are always available by email, so please get in touch with Sandra and Carenn at casca@csg.school if you would like to get involved!
