Breakfast Club

The school has funding to run a free breakfast club for all students in all years. Toast, bagels, crumpets & cereal are available in the dining room daily from 8:00am - 8:30am.

Open to all students in years 7-13.

Mythology Magic - A visit from professional storyteller, Katy Cawkwell

On Thursday, 23 January, students in Years 8, 9, 10 and 11 enjoyed a series of storytelling performances based on the mythology at the heart of their courses.

From the grisly and moving tale of Perseus and Medusa, through the powerful emotional reunion of Odysseus and Penelope, to the inspiring and awesome stories surrounding the foundations of Rome, students had the chance to immerse themselves in the world of the ancients, enjoying the experience of live, oral story-making, just as Greek and Roman audiences would have.

Students were enthralled both by the stories and by the incredible skill of the storyteller, whose ability to beam images directly from her own imagination into ours was truly inspiring.

We look forward to welcoming Katy back in the future to help illuminate other aspects of our Classical courses.

Year 11 Biology

Ms Rahman's year 11 biology class carried out a demonstration of reproduction by producing sex cells, finding partners and mating to produce offspring!

The photo shows the newborn baby Reebops (our imaginary species of animal). This activity helped them ground their understanding of the genetics of reproduction!
